Born John Mckiver Jr. in Bennettesville, SC to father, John Mckiver Sr. & mother Teresa Murphy - the middle child with two sisters, Tarya Johnson and Trenetta Mckiver. He was raised in Southern Pines, NC where he made many valuable friendships that are still strong to this day - The Dirty Dozen. He is the proud father of 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Today, John, better known as Jay, aka "BIG UNC" resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and their 3 cats.
During The Wake and Bake Show's hiatus, he channeled his drive into achieving numerous milestones, from securing his CDL license to attaining a full pardon for his political and civil rights, all while honing his brand.
Having navigated his journey towards embracing accountability for his life and choices, he's now on a mission to infuse greatness into each day. As an electrifying speaker and captivating Instagram influencer, he channels his journey into a beacon of inspiration, empowering others to seize greatness in their own lives, even amidst life's inevitable challenges.
